HOW TO SET UP THE TERMINAL TO PROMPT FOR A WORK CODE EVERY TIME? (Safescan TA-8000)
It is possible to have a TA 8000 prompting for a work code every time somebody clocks.
On the terminal:
The "Work Code Required" option must be activated. Please refer to section 3.11 of the TA-8000 series manual.
From that moment the terminal will always prompt for a work code. However this could be a problem in some situations. (i.e. going out at the end of the working day)
We will create an extra work code that will allow the use of regular clocking.
In the software:
1. Create a work code with 0 as an ID, and without name or description.
2. Create all the other work codes you need.
3. In the In/Out translation table, edit the line for "Out", select the first empty work code, and save.
3. Synchronise the work codes to the device.
It is now possible to use work codes every time somebody clocks in or out. The addition of the work code 0 allows employees to punch an action without work code.
