Clocking on a TimeMoto device

Users have, depending on your TimeMoto device model, various options of clocking their attendance on a TimeMoto device. In this article, we describe how a user can clock their attendance on a device.

Clocking with ID and PIN (all TimeMoto devices)

Users receive a unique ID when created in the TimeMoto PC Software or TimeMoto Cloud. You can also assign users a PIN. Users can then use their ID and PIN to clock their attendance on the device:

  1. Enter the ID on the device. Confirm by pressing [OK].
  2. Enter the PIN. Confirm by pressing [OK].

Your clocking status will be shown on screen. If this is the correct clocking action, you will have to do nothing else. If you want to adjust your clocking status (for example, changing "In" to "Out"), press on the [^]-button on the device and select the correct clocking status.

Clocking with a RFID card / badge (all TimeMoto devices)

You can assign RFID cards or badges to users. These RFID cards or badges can then be used to clock on the TimeMoto device.

  1. Hold the registered RFID card or badge in front of the bottom part of the TimeMoto device.
  2. Wait for the device to recognise the RFID card or badge and confirm your clocking action.

Your clocking status will be shown on screen. If this is the correct clocking action, you will have to do nothing else. If you want to adjust your clocking status (for example, changing "In" to "Out"), press on the [^]-button on the device and select the correct clocking status.

Clocking with a fingerprint (TM-626 and TM-828)

On the TM-626 and TM-828, you can register fingerprints for users so they can clock their attendance using that fingerprint.

  1. Put the registered finger on the fingerprint sensor of the device.
  2. Wait until the device confirms the clocking action.

Make sure to put your fingerprint flat on the fingerprint sensor, as shown in the picture below.

How to scan a fingerprint
Your clocking status will be shown on screen. If this is the correct clocking action, you will have to do nothing else. If you want to adjust your clocking status (for example, changing "In" to "Out"), press on the [^]-button on the device and select the correct clocking status.

Clocking by using the facial recognition (TM-838)

On the TM-838, you can use the facial recognition to allow users to clock by scanning their face. You will have to first register the user's face on the device before they can use this option to clock their attendance.

  1. Stand in front of the device and face the facial recognition scanner at the bottom of the device. Make sure to align your eyes with the green box shown on screen.
  2. Wait until the device confirms the clocking action.

Your clocking status will be shown on screen. If this is the correct clocking action, you will have to do nothing else. If you want to adjust your clocking status (for example, changing "In" to "Out"), press on the [^]-button on the device and select the correct clocking status.
