Using the FP-150 / RF-150 with the TimeMoto PC Software
You can use the FP-150 or RF-150 to register fingerprints or RFID cards/key fobs respectively from your PC on which your TimeMoto PC Software is installed. On this document, we will explain how to use these devices.
Important: The FP-150 can only be used in combination with the TimeMoto PC / PC Plus Software. It cannot be used in combination with the TimeMoto Cloud.
Registering Fingerprints
Once you have connected the FP-150 to your PC, open the TimeMoto PC Software. Select [Edit] > [User] in the software and select the user for whom you wish to register a fingerprint. At the bottom of the screen, select the tab “Identification”. Click on “Edit”.
Here, you will see any existing fingerprints registered for the user. A blue field indicates that a fingerprint has been registered for that finger and is already saved in the software.
Select the finger you wish to register. The field will turn red. Click on “Register” and place the finger on the FP-150. Place the finger on the reader three times and the software will register the finger to the user account. Once the registration is complete, you will receive confirmation within the software. You can now save your changes.
Important: once a fingerprint has been registered this way, you will have to synchronise it to the time clock device. If you do not do this, the user cannot use the registered fingerprint to clock on the device.
Registering an RFID Card or Key Fob
Once you have connected the RF-150 to your PC, open the TimeMoto PC Software. Select [Edit] > [User] in the software and select the user for whom you wish to register an RFID card or key fob. At the bottom of the screen, select the tab “Identification”. Click on “Edit”.
Select the field underneath “RFID”. Hold your RFID card or key fob over the RF-150. The RFID number will now appear in the field. Save your changes.
Important: once an RFID card or key fob has been registered this way, you will have to synchronise it to the time clock device. If you do not do this, the user cannot use the registered RFID card or key fob to clock on the device.
When using a French keyboard (Azerty), please enable “Caps Lock” on your keyboard before holding the RFID card or key fob over the RF-150.
Using the FP-150 to log in to the software
If you have a Supervisor/Administrator account with registered fingerprints in the TimeMoto PC Software, they can also use the FP-150 to log in.
Start the software. The login screen will appear. Hold a registered finger on the FP-150. This will then auto-fill the login credentials of the Supervisor/Administrator. Click on “Login” to access the software.
