Your device could not be found on the Network using the automatic Search function in the TM/TM+ Software.
Please go to your device and make sure one of the icons is shown in the top right corner.
If the device has a physical connection to the network, we can check if it is correctly set up. Log into the menu and follow the Menu according to step 1 or step 2, with the connection type you are using.
1. Using an Ethernet Connection
If you are using an Ethernet connection to connect the Device to TimeMoto, please follow the Menu like this:
Go to System Settings:
Select Communication:
Select Network:
Check the box next to Ethernet and DHCP and see the IP address.
You are now in the Network Menu, where you can see the IP address of the Device.
Please activate DHCP. If DHCP is already set, please deactivate it first before activating it again. The device will trigger a request to the DHCP Server to obtain a free IP Address.
Please write down the IP Address and go back to the Software. In Step 3, we will show you how to find your device in the Network.
2. Using a Wi-Fi Connection
If you are using a Wi-Fi Connection to connect the Device to your TM/TM+ Software, Please follow the Menu like this:
Go to System Settings:
Select Communication:
Select Network:
Check the box next to WIFI to enable the Wi-Fi module:
Go to the bottom of the list and check DHCP to enable automatic Network Addressing:
Search for the Wifi name assigned to you by your IT Admin:
Enter the password you also received from your IT Admin and confirm by pressing OK (click here if you want to learn how to enter letters and special characters in the TimeMoto device):
If the password is entered correctly, you will see that the device is connected to the Wifi, and an IP address is also given.
Please write down the IP Address and go back to the Software. In Step 3, we will show you how to find your device in the Network.
3. Adding the Device to the Software
In the Software under Device, click on the search button:
Your device should appear in a pop-up box. Confirm with [Yes] to add the device to the device list.
In some cases, the software will not be able to find the device automatically. In that case, click on the plus button to manually add a device to the list.
In the pop-up window, assign a name to the device, fill in the IP address you noted previously, and click on the "This computer" button to link the device to your PC. Press OK to save.
If you already have the device on your list, you can also update the IP Parameters Manually. Select the device and click on the edit button:
Please edit the IP Parameters Manually and Press OK.
4. Troubleshooting
4.1 Ethernet Connection
If it is not possible to connect the device by Ethernet, please make sure that the cable is plugged in correctly at the back of the device.
Also, make sure that the other end of the cable is communicating with your Switch or Router. Ask Your IT Administrator to assist you if you aren't sure.
Please follow Step 1 once more.
4.2 Wi-Fi Connection
If your Wi-Fi Connection is lost, please try to reconnect to your access point.
Log into the menu and go to the Wi-Fi Section on the Device. First, go to System Settings:
Select Communication:
Now, select Network:
Make sure that WIFI is enabled. If it is not enabled, please enable it by ticking the box:
You should be connected to the assigned Wi-Fi, and you should see an IP address.
If this is not visible, please follow Step 2 once more.
